Foxboro Youth Lacrosse (FYL) was founded in 2003 by a half dozen or so volunteers passionate about the game.  Our first season, we offered a boys youth program with U11, U13 and U15 teams.  The following season, we opened up the program to girls.  Most recently, we added a 1st/2nd grade boys division.  2011 will mark our ninth season serving over 220 young players!

Recognizing the incredible growth of lacrosse (today it is the fastest growing youth sport in America) and the desire of high school athletes to play the game, the Foxboro high school established a lacrosse club team in 2004.  In 2005, the high school sponsored both a boys and girls varsity team. The team became an official varsity team (boys and girls) in 2005.  In the first few years, these teams struggled to win games (the boys squad did not win a single game in its first season).  However, over time the FYL program has served as a feeder program to the high school times, and the high schools teams continue to become more and more competitive.  In fact, in 2010, the boys varsity team was the Hockomock League Champion!
